Poole Consulting was established in 2008 and is based in Dublin, Ireland.  Our clients can be found in a variety of locations, ranging from the USA to continental Europe, and China.  We have very good relations with all the main service providers in Ireland, including several of the leading legal firms in the investment funds market, most of the main fund administrators and custodians, and accountancy firms.  In addition, we have extensive knowledge of the distribution opportunities for Irish-domiciled structures, with experience gained in distributing these to institutional and retail channels in Europe and Asia particularly.

We believe we offer a unique perspective to investment firms either looking to establish an Irish presence for the first time, or now looking to extend the offering in their Irish products.  What is our edge?  We are not limited to one aspect of the investment process (portfolio management, sales, operations), but have multi-year experience across many key functions, such as:

• Equities portfolio management
• Product development and management into a number of European and Asian markets across both traditional and alternative asset classes
• Product distribution in Europe and Asia into both institutional and retail channels
• Service provider selection, ongoing monitoring, and benchmarking across a number of categories including administrators, custodians, securities lending agents, transition managers, as well as non-investment providers
• Education and training about the European funds industry

As a result, our solutions to operational issues are delivered much more from an investment manager’s perspective than is often the case.
